Resumen

La relación entre la rendición de cuentas y el desempeño aún es borrosa y continúa siendo cuestionada, ya que la posible relación no se ha estudiado lo suficiente. Se requieren nuevos estudios que intenten iluminar el posible vínculo entre la rendición de cuentas y el desempeño. Este estudio tiene como objetivo comprender e iluminar este posible vínculo. Para ello, se ha llevado a cabo un estudio cualitativo en un municipio metropolitano como organismo gubernamental en Turquía. Al final, se ha explorado y definido un vínculo recur­sivo entre la rendición de cuentas y el desempeño. Bajo este título también se definen a de­talle dos formas diferentes de relaciones: secuenciación lineal y secuenciación gradual.

Oktay Koç , University of Health Sciences, Selimiye Mah, İstanbul, Turkey.

Doctor en Gestión y Organización por la Universidad de Kocaeli. Su investigación científica incluye liderazgo, valor público, rendición de cuentas y gestión del desempeño en organismos públicos y teorías organizativas. Trabajó como investigador en el campo de la ciencia de la gestión en universidades de países como Inglaterra y Austria. En la actualidad dirige el Departamento de Gestión Sanitaria de la Universidad de Ciencias de la Salud.
